He slept in graveyards, dined with ghosts, and played dice with corpses, but nothing worked. That is, until he met the Tall Thin Man — a shadow of impossible height and hunger, who glided rather than walked and spoke in whispers colder than the grave.
For three nights, the boy faced horrors beyond comprehension. The Tall Thin Man stretched across ceilings, twisted reality into knots, and breathed secrets into the dark — yet the boy only yawned. “Is that all?” he asked.
By dawn, the hauntings ceased, the treasure appeared, and the Tall Thin Man vanished. The boy left rich, married well, and lived unbothered — until one sleepless night, years later, he heard it again: that slow, scraping sound of bone against stone.
And in the corner of the room, just beyond the light, the Tall Thin Man smiled.
